Norwich, UK

The CIRCLE project closing event will take place in Norwich (UK) on February 28th, 2023.
On the agenda: lunch, networking, presentation of the project results by all partners and Q&A sessions.

Opening of the UK pilot site

On December 19th, 2022, the English pilot site was inaugurated at the partner UCLan in Preston.
This event was an opportunity to present and highlight the CIRCLE project in front of an audience composed of academics, representatives of local authorities…

International Conference on Applied Energy
Bochum, Germany (online)
August 9th, 2022
From the 8th to 11th of August 2022, the ICAE conference (International Conference on Applied Energy) was held in Bochum, Germany.
The conference provided the opportunity for our CIRCLE project partners at UEA to highlight and present the work titled “Sustainable Business Models for Sustainable Concrete – The Triple Layered Proposition”.
The presented work is to be published as a conference paper submitted and accepted by ICAE 2022. Once published, It will be available in the Energy Proceedings journal.
Visit of the pilot site “Eurovéloroute”
Conchil-le-Temple
June 21st, 2022
On Tuesday 21st of June 2022, the CIRCLE project event took place in Conchil-Le-Temple.
Organised by and at EQIOM, A CRH Company, this event was an opportunity to present and highlight the CIRCLE project to an audience of elected officials, community representatives and industrialists….
The program included a visit to the concrete plant of EQIOM, A CRH Company, with an explanation of the washing and crushing of the shells, followed by a visit to the pilot site of the Eurovéloroute V4 by CA2BM with a demonstration of the draining quality of CIRCLE concrete.
NORDBAT 2022

March 30th – April 1st, 2022
From March 30th until April 1st 2022 took place the 2022 edition of Nordbat in Lille, North of France. This salon was an opportunity to gather various companies which are in the construction area and to demonstrate innovative methods. During this event, Eqiom – A CRH Company could present and valorize the CIRCLE project.
“DEMAIN LA VILLE”

On March 31th, 2022 the Fédération Régionale des Travaux Publics Normandie (FRTP) in collaboration with the Metropolis of Rouen organized an event about public works, civil engineering and their involvment to respond to environmental issues.
This exhibition was divided in 5 different sections:
- Innovations
- Exhibition
- TV shows
- Demos
- Work and education
During this event, the ESITC Caen had the opportunity to put forward the CIRCLE project.
Festival of Science 2021

On October 8th and 9th, 2021, during the 30th edition of the Festival of Science who took place from October 1st to 11th, 2021, the ESITC Caen proposed various workshops on its premises.
On October 8, there was a workshop which presented materials based on shell coproducts, as in the CIRCLE project, in order to show it to pupils and teachers. The following day, there were visits in the labs of the ESITC Caen.
