The objective of the CIRCLE project is to develop a draining cast-in-place concrete pavement based on shellfish co-products, with low environmental impact and significant drainage properties. In addition, the addition of shellfish co-products by substituting natural aggregates reduces and preserves non-renewable natural constituents.

Today, in the face of climate change, combined with the growing increase in soil urbanization, Europe is regularly faced with flooding episodes with major human, environmental and financial consequences. Drainage of road structures is therefore an obvious solution to combat this devastating phenomenon.

The CIRCLE project has been selected within the framework of the European Cross-border Cooperation Programme INTERREG VA France (Channel) England co-financed by the ERDF and brings together 6 French and British partners.

A look back at the event on December 19th, 2022
